Kenna Stephenson, MD, is board certified in family medicine and a licensed physician in Texas and Arizona.  As a research scientist, physician, author, teacher, wife, and mother she is an engaging and deeply knowledgeable speaker sought out nationally and internationally.  She is a published author on topics that include: women’s health, preventive medicine, community medicine, and the bio/psycho/social/spiritual model of patient care. She serves as Professor of Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at Northcentral University in Prescott, Arizona, and Assistant Professor of Family Medicine at the University of Texas Health Center at Tyler.

Her current research focus pertains to women’s health and cardiovascular disease, stress, and aging.

She has served as a physician consultant for Paramount Pictures and has been featured in weekly television appearances as Dr. Mom on NBC local stations.  Dr. Stephenson serves on the Scientific Advisory Network of Women in Balance, a national nonprofit association, based in Washington, DC, dedicated to helping women achieve optimal health, wellness and hormone balance through public education and the promotion of research.
